My name is Benny De Groof, I have been collecting and selling insects from all around the world for many years. With our new website we can offer better and more up-to-date service to all our customers.

We supply insect specimens from the Indonesian archipelago and neighboring islands. At Exotic Insects we strive to offer you the best quality insect specimens in combination with special attention to safe packaging and a reliable service.                                         

If you wish to pay us a visit, please make an appointment in advance. We are happy to welcome you and to assist you with any questions you might have during your stay.

If requested in advance, we can also arrange mercury vapor equipment and a generator for night collecting.

I got interested in butterflies and moths as a child at the age of 9. Over the years that followed, this interest broadened and I also started collecting other kinds of insects that I encountered on my travels. At the age of 19, I started a small online insect shop (insecta_bdg). My main interest lays in moths of the family Hepialidae.
